Las Vegas, NM is a small city of about 15,000 citizens located about an hour east of Santa Fe, NM. Historically Las Vegas was a critical railroad hub which accounted for much of the community’s growth in the late 19th century.

Today, Las Vegas is the county seat of San Miguel County and the commercial center of eastern New Mexico. Las Vegas is home to New Mexico Highlands University and Luna Community College as well as the Alta Vista Regional Hospital.

The Las Vegas community has been supportive of UWC-USA and the work of our faculty and students.
