With the exception of the Dwan Light Sanctuary (which is open daily from sunrise to sunset), the campus is closed to the general public except for special, announced events and scheduled, student-led tours. Click here for events on campus that are open to the public.

Tours will resume in September of 2023.

During the school year, tours are held on Saturday afternoons at 1 pm starting from the Old Stone Hotel on the lower campus. It’s recommended to arrive about 15 minutes early and check in with our staff at the Welcome Center for directions and parking.

Tours begin at 1:00 pm and last about one hour. Parking is available near the Welcome Center.

Alternatively, UWC-USA has partnered with Southwest Detours and local tour guide Kathy Hendrickson to offer tours throughout the year. Please contact Kathy through the Southwest Detours website.

Please note that because the Montezuma Castle serves as a residence for more than 50 people and is used daily for classes, meetings, and other school functions, it is not open to the public.

“By embracing our mission to make education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future, our students also commit to a set of values that guide their actions and interactions, on campus and beyond. They do so in partnership with a staff dedicated to the same ideals, who serve as models and mentors.”
