For many UWC-USA alumni, a memory of Montezuma can arrive in an instant: the sight of the Castle, steam rising from the hot springs, a late-night conversation in the Dayroom, or a faculty member who helped make a big question feel possible to answer. Those moments helped shape the people we became—and today’s students are beginning to create memories and discover possibilities of their own.
There are meaningful ways for alumni to stay connected to UWC-USA, share their experience, and strengthen the community that once supported them. Come back to campus for a Fireside Chat and share your post-UWC journey, current work, or area of expertise with students and faculty—cookies and hot chocolate included. Help shape an unforgettable Project Week or Southwest Studies experience, lend your outdoor skills as a Wilderness Program volunteer instructor, or join the team that makes summer reunions welcoming and memorable.
Connection can also happen from wherever life has taken you. Consider opening a window into your profession by offering an internship to a student or young alum, serving as a class representative, or helping your classmates reconnect through a reunion committee. Each conversation, introduction, shared skill, and hour of service helps students see new paths forward—and reminds faculty and staff that the UWC-USA community extends far beyond the gates of campus.
The school has given many of us friendships, perspective, courage, and stories we still carry. This is a chance to pass some of that spirit along: not simply by giving to UWC-USA, but by showing up, sharing what you know, and helping the next generation find its own place in the world.
