Do I have to take English at UWC USA?
The IB Diploma requires that all students take a Language A course and a Language B course, but English does not have to be one of them. However, it is strongly recommended that students take English as it broadens their university options and enriches their experience at UWC-USA where all subjects except for languages are taught in English.

Our campus is closed to the general public with the following exceptions:

The Admissions Office at UWC-USA offers tours for prospective families and students. You may sign up here to join a tour.

We welcome UWC alumni to return to Montezuma to re-engage with the UWC-USA community. Please check with  Reed Baumgarten ’89, Alumni Engagement Officer, at [email protected] at least one week in advance of your visit.

Guests may visit the Dwan Light Sanctuary by first stopping at the Welcome Center where campus security officers will provide directions and an access key. Because the prisms are most impressive during full sunlight, optimal times to visit are late morning to early afternoon. There is no charge, although donations to maintain the Sanctuary are accepted at the Welcome Center.

With the exception of the Dwan Light Sanctuary (which is open daily from sunrise to sunset), the campus is closed to the general public except for special, announced events.

UWC-USA’s campus and grounds were a founding gift to the school. The site was chosen for its proximity to areas for wilderness exploration, a rich arts and culture scene, and fascinating mix of Spanish, Mexican, Native American and European culture and history.

Students who attend UWC-USA are typically in the last two years of what we in the U.S. call high school. Some students choose to attend UWC-USA for  their final year of secondary school and add one additional year.

Complete this form to indicate how you’d like to be involved. While there are few volunteer opportunities available, we’re looking for community partners, donors, advocates, and others who want to advance our work.
