Board Member
Since 2016, Tom has served as the President of School Year Abroad, a nonprofit organization focused on providing immersive study abroad programs to high school students. Previously, he worked at Phillips Exeter Academy, where he served in many capacities during his 26-year tenure, including as math instructor, director of college counseling, director of admissions, assistant principal, acting principal and principal. Prior to Exeter, Tom worked at Brown and Harvard Universities as well as the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Tom earned a bachelor of arts degree at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, and earned master’s and doctoral degrees in Education at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
