Q&A with Brian

What do you love about teaching or your role at the school?
The chance to guide and support students in their adventures at UWC, and to train the students and staff in first aid, CPR, and mental health first aid.
I’m the guy you want around when things get interesting (or somebody needs urgent help). Spent 30+ years as a Paramedic from Search and Rescue to 911 ambulance to helicopter and airplane air ambulance. Spent the last 19 years as a department head and set medic in film production. Been on staff at UWC since 2023 in Residential Life and on the Medical Team. I am an alum of UWC’s USA campus! (’92, from Montreal, Canada) My wife, Tarra, is also an alum (’91 from California/New Mexico), and we have two adventurous teenage children. Our daughter is attending a UWC overseas.
