Board Member

Andy is a Senior Talent Consultant with DRG Talent and has conducted 45 executive searches for independent schools and non-profits since retiring in 2020 from his 19-year headship at Albuquerque Academy. He previously spent a decade each as a boarding school educator at Fountain Valley School in Colorado, where he now serves as Treasurer and Board Member, and as Head of the Upper School at The Potomac School in Virginia. Andy also served on the faculty of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Institute for New Heads for ten years, was Board Chair for the Global Online Academy, and served on the boards of NAIS, the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), and the Independent Schools of the Southwest (ISAS). In addition, he contributed on the advisory boards of the Harvard Principals Center and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. A native of Ohio, Andy earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s in mathematics from Yale University.
