Q&A with Deeva
What do you love about teaching or your role at the school?
I loved attending, and now living and working at a school which practices diversity in a muscular sense: across race, nationality, class, etc.
What do you think parents and students should know about you?
Irrespective of the futures that UWC students choose for themselves, I believe that cultivating a sensitivity to language — noticing the way it affectively moves us as well as sitting in aporia when its meaning is unclear — is essential when we are committed to peace and a sustainable future.
