UWC (the entire organization) was recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by a member of Norway’s Parliament. With over 300 individuals and organizations nominated last year alone, this is clearly a recognition of the great work UWC does across 18 schools and four continents. With over 70,000 UWC alumni around the world dedicated to making the world more just and peaceful, the impact of the UWC experience is greater each year.
The deliberations of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee are famously private so there may never be more detail or information.
