Students from diverse backgrounds explore the campus wilderness trail, fostering community and reflection in nature.

Why study in the land of enchantment?

UWC-USA’s tranquil setting, nestled at the edge of the Pecos Wilderness and Santa Fe National Forest, sits within a two-hour drive of ancient historical and archaeological sites, pristine national parks, centers of art and culture, and world-class scientific research centers.

Rich Culture

Students are exposed to and learn about the rich synthesis of cultures–Native American, descendants of early Spanish colonists, and later Mexican- and Anglo-Americans–that have shaped the region.

Connection with Peers

The campus offers a breathtaking backdrop for deep reflection. Immersed in the beauty and complexity of the world, students forge connections with each other that shape them into transformational leaders.

Scenic Beauty

Our 200-acre campus, anchored by the historic Montezuma Castle, challenges students to engage with nature through hikes and outdoor activities.

The safety and security of our students, faculty and staff is of the utmost importance.

Let’s Get Social

Connect with us to learn more about student life, alumni accomplishments and all the ways UWC-USA students, alumni, faculty and staff are creating positive change in the world!

Explore Facilities

Some of students’ favorite spaces on campus are those dedicated to enrichment activities such as personal reflection, physical wellness, working in nature, and simply enjoying meals with friends.

Visiting Campus

With the exception of the Dwan Light Sanctuary, which is open to the public from dusk to dawn, our campus is closed to drop-in visitors. At the beginning of each academic year we operate as a closed campus. First-year students may receive visitors after Southwest Studies in mid-October. Second-year students may receive visitors once orientation is over.

Outside of this time period and with advance notice, we welcome prospective students and families, current students’ families, alumni and other interested visitors to campus. Some visiting restrictions apply for recent graduates.
