Mark Hodde '89

Mark Hodde ’89, MPA, CFRE, serves as the Associate Head for Advancement at UWC-USA, where he oversees philanthropic initiatives, capital and endowment gifts, and strategic partnerships to support the institution’s mission of education for peace and a sustainable future. As an alumnus, he leads the advancement team in securing the resources necessary to cultivate a transformational global community on campus.

Prior to returning to UWC-USA, Mark spent over two decades advancing international development and humanitarian causes, notably managing communications and major giving efforts for organizations such as International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC). Throughout his career in nonprofit development, he has focused on building strategic donor networks to secure long-term organizational impact.

Mark holds an M.P.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in International Studies from California State University, San Bernardino.

What do you love about teaching or your role at the school?
Supporting creative, principled young people, no matter where they come from, to attend UWC-USA and go on to do amazing things in the world.
I am an alumnus of UWC-USA, as are my wife and one of my two sons.
