Q&A with María
What do you love about teaching or your role at the school?
Getting to know the students and learning about their cultures and lives. It’s like I’m traveling without the environmental footprint, and I so admire the students’ idealism and resilience.
What do you think parents and students should know about you?
There is always a cup of tea available in my classroom, and I enjoy hosting students who want to cook in my kitchen. If students feel homesick, food is a great way to find comfort, so I try to offer that space.
