Ma’ayan teaches Global Politics at UWC-USA, where she supports students in exploring power, contemporary political issues, and possibilities for social change from multiple perspectives. She is also a co-founder of DialogueX, a platform that uses guided, AI-facilitated conversations to foster humanization and engagement between Israelis and Palestinians.

Prior to joining UWC-USA, Ma’ayan taught Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies and served as a student mentor at the Eastern Mediterranean International School in Israel, where she had previously been a member of the school’s first graduating class. During her time there, she also established the school’s Learning Center and worked as a social guide. In other educational and community settings, she has designed and facilitated programs focused on dialogue, peacebuilding, and social and environmental justice.

Ma’ayan holds an MA in Science Education and a BSc in Life Sciences, both from Tel Aviv University. Her master’s thesis focused on self-regulated learning, specifically examining how teachers support students in regulating their motivation. She has also trained in binational dialogue facilitation with the School for Peace at Neve Shalom–Wahat al-Salam and in political education with the Regional Thinking Forum.
