George Thomas is a real estate developer, owner, manager and attorney with decades of experience in residential development, multifamily ownership, construction, and commercial legal matters. He understands how communities are planned, built, maintained and, most importantly, managed over time. He is currently the owner of CGJA LLC, a portfolio of apartment and townhome communities that he developed and managed in his hometown of El Paso, Texas, over the past 16 years.
During his career, he developed a variety of residential communities across Texas, including the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and Lubbock while attending law school. Starting in Dallas, he expanded his home-building business into multiple communities across the Metroplex, building more than 200 homes annually during peak years. He oversaw every stage of the home building process, including land acquisition, architectural planning, permitting, construction supervision, sales, and marketing. George also practiced law in Dallas for more than two decades, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial business disputes and handling title-related legal research during his time with Ticor Title Insurance. He earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Today, he also serves on the Design Review Committee for the Las Campanas Master Association in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he reviews exterior building, landscape, and siting of projects within a large master-planned community.
