Annual Fund Success: Thanks to the UWC-USA Community
Posted 05/31/2018 04:30PM

We did it! Together we met the Davis Family Challenge Grant goal of $2M for this year's Annual Fund! This represents an increase of 11% over last year which for any Annual Fund is an enormous accomplishment. UWC-USA alumni and friends have responded to the Davis family example in typical UWC fashion: united, determined, and with a view toward making the UWC experience possible for others. "Our major annual funding priority," President Victoria Mora claims, "is to offer the best UWC mission-driven student experience both on our campus and in our community. Bringing diverse students together to live and learn across the human divides that increasingly occupy the headlines matters more than ever. I can't thank the Davis family and our remarkable and vibrant community enough for this first successful year of the five-year Davis Family Challenge Grant. Together, we can make the difference in service of a more just, peaceful, and sustainable future." This year's specific Annual Fund success stories include 100% giving by current faculty and staff, two individual annual fund gifts from alumni of $50K, an alumni participation rate of 30%, and the class of 1988 reaching an astounding 63% giving rate. A final total will be published here when all gifts have been tallied.
