International Baccalaureate PYP and MYP

PYP and MYP IB teacher training courses include 16 hours of classroom instruction. The workshops provide IB training for teachers new to the PYP and MYP programs. They can also benefit teachers with only one or two years of International Baccalaureate experience as well as experienced IB teachers in disciplines with changing curriculum. The workshops explore International Baccalaureate subject curricula, teaching methods, the process of assessment, and the examination format.

Workshops are typically held in Albuquerque. We offer two categories:

  • Category 1 is for those teachers from schools who have decided to apply for International Baccalaureate authorization. Experienced International Baccalaureate teachers in applicant schools may attend these workshops to help their school with the application process.

  • Category 2 is for teachers who have completed Category 1 training and/or whose schools have begun an authorized International Baccalaureate program.
