Planned Gifts

Matching Gift

Many employers sponsor matching-gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching-gift policy, please enter your employer’s name below.  Some employers use a system that allows you to look up charities by EIN. Our EIN is 85-0297355.  Please request a matching gift form from your personnel office and send it with your gift to UWC-USA.

IRA Gift

IRA owners age 70½ and older are allowed to make distributions to qualified organizations such as UWC-USA of up to $100,000 per year. While no income tax deductions are available, donors may save taxes where gifts take the place of required minimum distributions that otherwise are 100 percent taxable. Speak with your financial planner to learn more about potential benefits.

To make a gift from your IRA, contact your IRA trustee or custodian as soon as possible —preferably before you receive any required minimum distributions. Please also notify us so we can coordinate with your IRA administrator to ensure that your gift is completed by the end of the year and that you receive the necessary receipt. Contact the Advancement Office at (505) 454 4265.

For donors in the United Kingdom and Europe

Gifts may be sent via bank transfer to the UWC International Office in London. Donors in the U.K. may also register for Gift Aid (a scheme for U.K. taxpayers, allowing donations to be worth 25 percent more at no additional cost), click here to download the required form. You may also set up automatic, recurring gifts by using this form.

UWC-USA is a 501(c) (3) organization. Our legal name is The Armand Hammer United World College of the American West. For more information on how you can support UWC-USA, please contact Skylyn Bellender at (505) 454-4265 or skylyn.bellender@uwc-usa.org.

UWC-USA offers the International Baccalaureate diploma program. Students can choose from IB classes in 28 subjects – a remarkable number given the size of the school.
