At UWC-USA, we meld the IB Diploma Program with global studies and experiential education to imbue students with true international understanding. Learning takes place in expected ways and places—lectures and labs, for example—as well as unexpected settings. A student might work in a soup kitchen with a peer from Cambodia who reveals a new perspective about world history. Or share a tent on a wilderness trip with someone from Ghana that elicits an explanation of her religion, culture, or political system. Wherever the learning happens, experienced faculty guide and mentor students through the challenges and discoveries they make during their two years of study.
