If America truly envisions a world at peace with itself and amongst
its many peoples, what changes must occur in our political, legal
and moral landscape - and how do women play a unique and important
role in the actualization of this goal?
Join Sudha Shetty, Director of the International Fellowship Program
at the University of Minnesota's Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of
Public Affairs and the former Director of Seattle University Law
School's Access to Justice Institute, for a discussion of these
issues.
Ms. Shetty is a recipient of the 2006 Equal Justice Works Award,
the 2005 NALP Award of Distinction in Pro Bono and Public Service,
and the 2003 Asian Bar Association's Community Service Award. She
is a founding member of Chaya, a grassroots South Asian domestic
violence prevention organization and is chair of the Washington
South Asian Council.
