Stories can bind cultures together or rip them apart. This evening
of Native American storytelling will build bridges between diverse
tribes, storytellers, and audience members. Melissa Nelson (Turtle
Mountain Chippewa), the founder of The Cultural Conservancy, will
host the evening and introduce Native storytellers from each of
the four directions: Enjoy tales from Lakota, Dakota, Narragansett,
Dineh (Navajo), and Chemehuevi tribes; learn about cooking spirits,
sacred medicines, and the healing powers of Mother Earth; leave
feeling inspired and more connected to each other and the world.
