UWC-USA has hosted summer workshops for over 25 years. Its campus is ideal for the formalities of teacher training and informalities of exploration, adventure, reflection, and discovery—quality professional development in a vacation atmosphere: “getting it” while
“getting away from it all.” Our commitment is to practical and inspiring instruction from highly skilled workshop leaders, including senior IB Examiners and seasoned classroom veterans. Participants at UWC-USA workshops share their experience while growing in understanding of the IB at a comfortable pace. Workshops at UWC-USA include 17 hours of classroom instruction.
The Montezuma campus, which hosts the summer Diploma workshops, is a one-hour drive from Santa Fe, NM and six miles from the town of Las Vegas, New Mexico (pop. 18,000).
The spring PYP and MYP workshops in Albuquerque are held every March at the Albuquerque Marriott--a short ride from the state's main airport.
