| Thinking about coming back? Wed
love to see you! We only ask that you follow a few guidelines:
-
Please advise the Alumni Relations Office (alumni@uwc-usa.org)
of your visit at least one week before arrival. The college
can provide limited lodging only for the most recent graduates,
and that has some restrictions (see below or go to the
full brochure). No arrivals to the college are permitted
between 12 midnight and 8 a.m.
-
In planning your visit, keep in mind that alumni may not visit
during Orientation, Trial Exams or IB Exams. Please check the
school calendar linked above for those dates.
-
Upon arrival, please check in with the Alumni Relations Office
(Room 254 in the Castle) to register and to obtain the most
current information about what's happening on campus.
-
Please make sure you are aware of the college rules, since
some may have changed since you were a student. Note that smokers
now may smoke only in a designated area and no visitors should
enter the dorms without being accompanied by a dorm resident.
-
Students who have been asked to withdraw from the college may
not return to campus for two years.
Special Notes for Third Years
If you graduated from the UWC-USA last May, you may request permission
to stay on campus with a currently enrolled student for one continuous
week once during the academic year.
Please remember that our priority is the safety and welfare of our
current students. It is a privilege, not a right, for you to visit,
and we expect you to follow all the school rules.
To make your stay a positive one, please read through the following
procedures.
Planning stage
Visits are on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no guarantees
that the time you wish to visit will be available so plan ahead.
(Limited to 6 third-year visitors on campus at a time.)
-
Check the dates that visitors are allowed (see
this brochure)
-
Contact the UWC alumni
office for availability on the date you wish to visit
-
A $50 deposit must be received by the alumni office to reserve
a visitor spot (This can be a check or money order)
-
$10 will be returned if the room key is returned to the alumni
office
-
$10 will be returned if the linen is returned and clean to
the alumni office
-
$30 will be kept by UWC for room and board costs
Once the deposit is received, the alumni office will contact you
with confirmation that you are able to visit at that time. If the
dates are full, you will be notified and your check or
money order will be returned to you.
Upon arrival to campus
-
Check in with the Alumni Office.
-
If the office is not open, check in with the RT.
-
If he or she is not available, see the RT on duty or Dean
of Students.
-
Discuss room arrangements, departure date and departure transportation.
-
Arrival time on campus is between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm.
During your visit
Please make sure you are aware of the college rules, since some
may have changed since you were a student. For the comfort and safety
of the other dormitory residents, please enter the dormitories only
when accompanied by your host. If you are not staying on campus,
you must vacate the dorms by check. If you are staying on campus,
you are expected to abide by all college rules, including check
times.
During your stay, should you break school rules, your full deposit
will be kept by the school. Repeated violations may result in your
being removed from campus.
